Australia’s history in danger without digitisation

David Fricker, the National Archives Director General speaks with Michael McLaren about the increasingly urgent campaign to get 130,000 hours-worth of audio and footage converted from magnetic tape to a digital archive. It’s thought that by 2025 the machines that read magnetic tape will be gone and no replacements look likely.
