Australia pays high price for pandemic inquiry

Luke Grant

Peter Hartcher, political and international editor for The Sydney Morning Herald & Author of “To The Bitter End”, joins Luke Grant regarding his article that looks into the high cost Australia has paid for the unsatisfying WHO report into the global tragedy that is Covid19.

He says “probably no country has paid as high a price as Australia did for the international inquiry into the origins of the COVID-19 pandemic.  By becoming the first in the world publicly to call for an independent investigation, Australia made itself a target of the Chinese Communist Party”.

“We know the price we had to pay – punitive Chinese government sanctions on Australian trade, worth over $20 billion a year.”

Mr Hartcher asks, “But what have we gained?”
