900 jobs lost: Is Queensland’s coal royalty scheme to blame?
Queensland Resources Council CEO Janette Hewson joined Gary Hardgrave to talk about the loss of 900 jobs in the state’s coal industry.
Hewson attributed the job cuts to a combination of low international coal prices and Queensland’s controversial royalty scheme, which she says makes the state uncompetitive with other jurisdictions like New South Wales.
