A Southport family has paid $550,000 for a tiny 89m² block of land, but HIA Executive Director, Mike Roberts, joined Jason Matthews on 4BC Mornings and revealed that neighbouring properties are even smaller at just 60m².

This shift highlights a chronic land shortage in Queensland, forcing buyers to choose between traditional apartments or building vertically on “postage stamp” freehold lots.
