Six cotton growers have been named as the finalist for this years industry awards.

They’re from as far north as Dalby on Queensland Darling Downs to as far south the New South Wales Riverina region.

They’ve been divided into two categories, Bayer Grower of the Year and AgriRisk High Achiever of the year.

Rural reporter Georgia Kondek spoke with Cotton Australia Chief Executive Adam Kay who says the awards acknowledge the importance of the industry.
