Peter Dutton quizzed over Morrison detail that ‘doesn’t make sense’

Peter Dutton admits the secret swearing-in of Scott Morrison to portfolios was “unacceptable” as doubts rise around the pandemic timeline.
The former prime minister yesterday defended his actions, arguing the move was to create a safety net in case ministers tested positive to COVID-19.
But Mark Levy says the dates don’t add up when Mr Morrison usurped the home affairs portfolio more than a year after appointing himself health minister.
“You contracted COVID in March, 2020 while you were the then-home affairs minister; you were even hospitalised,” Mark told Mr Dutton.
“Yet the prime minister didn’t take on the home affairs powers until May, 2021, when Karen Andrews was the minister.
“I guess the point I’m trying to make is, surely that doesn’t make sense.”
