Paul ‘Fatty’ Vautin says league icon Peter Sterling should be considered as an NRL Immortal.

Sterlo won four premierships before a successful career in the media.

It’s the greatest honour any player can receive.

Vautin described his close friend and colleague as a legend.

“I really think he should be … one year think about him as an immortal,” he said on Wide World of Sports.

“He played in four premierships, he’s nearly as good as anyone you know.”

He said while he appreciated not everyone can be an immortal, he said Sterling had to be “up there”.
