Paul Vautin has joined the Rugby League community in paying tribute to John Sattler after he died on Monday aged 80.

An icon of the game, Sattler played 195 games for the Rabbitohs and led them to victory in the 1970 grand final with a broken jaw.

Vautin described him as “one of the nicest gentlemen” he’d ever met.
