Paramedics treat numerous patients after car crashes into Gold Coast cafe
Paramedics have assessed seven patients after a car crashed into a busy cafe today in Broadbeach.
There are traffic delays on Surf Parade and Victoria Avenue.
It’s understood five people were injured and taken to hospital, and two others did not require treatment.
The car ploughed into the Starbucks cafe just before 2pm.
Police say they are investigating the crash.
The coffee shop was extensively damaged.
The 83-year-old male driver from Mermaid Waters is assisting police with enquiries.
