The state opposition has slammed the timing of a previously confidential report written by the former state archivist.

This afternoon, the government tabled a long-awaited report in parliament written by former state archivist Mike Summerell back in 2017.

The report made numerous recommendations after the allegation Transport Minister Mark Bailey used his personal email for government business.

Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk was asked about the report yesterday, and when it would be released.

Shadow Minister for Housing and Public Works, Tim Mander, questioned the timing of the report.
