NRL: Peter Psaltis weighs in on anticipated rule change
The speed of the game is again the NRL spotlight, with calls to stop tinkering with the game.
It was reported the ARLC boss Peter V’landys was concerned about the wrestle having an impact on the speed of the game.
Peter Psaltis shared his thoughts.
“I cannot believe that the NRL has been considering a change in the rules, again because they are worried about the speed of the play-the-ball,” he said on 4BC’s Wide World of Sports.
“This is where I sit on this one: I think we have had enough rule tinkering in the last couple of years.
“Let’s leave things alone.”
He says now is not the time to do any more tinkering.
Do any fans of the game have a problem with the ruck speed? I think the speed of the game has been great this year.
There will always be teams looking to play quickly, just like others will look to slow things down. I think we should just leave things as is. Thoughts? @NRLonNine— Peter Psaltis (@peterp79) April 4, 2022
After he tweeted, Psalty says he received a big response.
