‘Nothing short of pathetic’: Neil Breen blasts Labor brushing bullying allegations

Anthony Albanese has again shrugged off calls for an inquiry into his party’s culture to instead focus on the upcoming election.
Senator Kimberley Kitching’s death has unearthed allegations she was bullied and isolated by her female colleagues.
The Opposition Leader and group of alleged ‘mean girls’ have denied the claims.
Mr Albanese told Today “Kimberley Kitching would want us to move on, to dedicate ourselves to a Labor victory”.
“The fact that he could even say that today as a means of moving on is absolutely stunning,” Neil Breen said.
“Albanese’s attempts today are nothing short of pathetic.”

Neil Breen wasn’t the only onlooker left incredulous by Mr Albanese’s response.
A heated Home Affairs Minister Karen Andrews said the comments were “absolutely extraordinary”.
“Wow,” she said to Neil. “Just wow.
“Here you have in Anthony Albanese someone who wants to be the Prime Minister of Australia and he’s saying he’s not going to investigate or review an issue that is of importance to all women, all Australians; he’s just going to focus on how he’s going to win the election.
“If you’re from the Labor Party, let’s just paper over everything because we have to win the election.
“That is exactly what Labor has always stood for: they are just focused on winning government.”
