‘No evidence’ of supply chain solution despite $100 million cash splash

The federal government is under pressure to move on Australia’s supply chain issues.

Labor says the Morrison government knew there would be an issue with workers being furloughed due to COVID-19 infections in 2020.

“They knew it was a problem, they set aside $100 million or so for a supply chain program to deal with it,” shadow minister for industry Ed Husic told Ray Hadley.

“You can’t see evidence of it because we’re talking about it right now.

“We … need to do work behind the scenes and I think certainly at a national level in dealing with supply chains.”
