New report could drastically change global warming policy

A new report from the University of Technology, Denmark is expected to have major implications on global warming policy.

Researchers from the Dark Cosmology Centre believe humans have been grossly underestimating the impact of the sun in changing the earth’s climate.

Chris Smith speaks with one of the report’s co-authors, Jacob Svensmark about his findings.

“We’ve investigated one of the missing links in our understanding of the role in cosmic rays in cloud formation.

“Clouds are very important because they tend to cool the climate, so if something is controlling the clouds, that’s very important for climate understanding.

“It’s very possible to say whatever modulates cosmic rays may also have an impact on climate.”
