Federal Labor MP Milton Dick says the conflict between some Nationals MPs and Prime Minister Scott Morrison on the plan to cut Australia’s carbon emissions is showing in the polls.

According to the latest Newspoll published in The Australian newspaper, Labor is leading 54-46.

It’s the lowest level of support for the Coalition in three years, the newspaper reported.

The Oxley MP told 4BC Drive he believed it was down to the long and public stand-off between the Nationals and Prime Minister Scott Morrison over the net-zero emissions policy.

Scott Emerson: You are in an election-winning position at the moment, do you think that is … due to the in-fighting between the Liberals and the Nationals?

Mr Dick: Look I’d have to say yes it is, when you see parties being completely divided and dysfunctional and focussing on themselves.
