Pressure is building on the Labor Party to launch an inquiry into bullying within its ranks.

Anthony Albanese has repeatedly refused to investigate claims the late Senator Kimberley Kitching was the victim of bullying by her colleagues.

“[This is] despite how hard he went on the Coalition side of politics when they dealt with bullying issues,” Neil Breen said.

“Most Labor MPs are refusing to comment but there are murmurings in the background that some … are extremely unhappy.”

He said the party will need to tread carefully to preserve its chances at the next election.

“When you throw stones, Labor, you’ve got to be able to deal with the same issues yourself.

“You can’t just go back and hide in your glass house.”
