Neil Breen has applauded the Chief Health Officer for contradicting the Premier and finding a way forward.

Queensland will begin a home quarantine trial next week, allowing some residents who are trapped interstate to return home.

Dr Jeannette Young is confident the trial will be successful after more than 56,000 Queenslanders completed home quarantine during coronavirus outbreaks.

“The Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk is continually looking in the rear view mirror and throwing smoke bombs about problems, about why Queensland can’t do things,” Neil said.

“When she was pointing to hospitals being a problem over the weekend, Jeannette Young contradicted her at her own press conference.

“In recent times, Jeannette Young’s found her voice and is coming up with a plan forward.”
