Moggill Road roundabout: When traffic pain will ease for fed-up drivers
Authorities are promising the lengthy delays plaguing drivers at one of Brisbane’s most infamous roundabouts will ease in the coming weeks.
Locals have been complaining about being struck in shocking traffic as the $180 million upgrade to fix the Moggill Road roundabout at Indooroopilly gets underway.
Enogerra Councillor Andrew Wines, who is also the council’s civic cabinet chair for the infrastructure committee, says it is a very large piece of infrastructure to address an “historically bad” part of the road network.
“I am saying, it was never good, the roadworks are going to make things a little worse while we do the construction particularly this period,” he told Scott Emerson.
“We are probably in the sharpest period at the moment.”
He promised it would be only be weeks before it was smoother for drivers.
