Motorists are warned to expect massive delays in the western suburbs this morning as roadworks shuts down lanes on Moggill Road.

All but one inbound lanes will be closed until 5am tomorrow between Payne Street and Waverley Road.

4BC traffic reporter Olympia Kwitowski yesterday told Laurel, Gary & Mark commuters will need to allow extra travel time.

“This is all to do with some watermain works that are being undertaken by Queensland Urban Utilities,” she said.

“And they’re the type of works that are too dangerous to do at night.”
