Queensland fast bowler Mark Steketee has been called into Australia’s Test squad to replace Michael Neser.

The 28-year-old will head to Pakistan for Australia’s first tour of the country in 24 years.

Neser was ruled out of the tour when he suffered a side strain injury in Queensland’s one-day clash with NSW on Monday.

Mark Steketee told Peter Psaltis he’s got mixed feelings about his pick.

“I’m shattered for him,” he said. “I’m one of his good mates, known him for a long time now, so it’s pretty bittersweet.

“I spoke to him when I got the news and he was pumped for me.”
