A Supreme Court Justice has thrown out the appeals of two men who were jailed over the triple murder of a Brisbane mother and her two daughters.

It’s taken over a year for Vincent O’Dempsey and Gary Dubois to have their day in court.

The pair, aged in their 70s who were sentenced to life in jail, appealed their convictions within weeks of being sent to prison last year for their roles in the cold case murders.

It took more than 40 years for the men to be convicted of killing Barbara McCulkin and her school-aged daughters Vicki, 13, and Leanne, 11, in bushland near Warwick in 1974.

It took Justice Philip Morrison simply seconds to throw out their appeals this morning.
