The National Cabinet convened in Brisbane and unveiled an array of housing measures designed to alleviate the housing crisis.

The Prime Minister has revealed a $3 billion plan with the aim of constructing 1.2 million new homes over five years.

Paul Bidwell, CEO of Master Builders Queensland, told Peter Gleeson on Drive, “We strongly support what the Prime Minister has announced, it’s about time state, territory and federal government have acknowledged…that the answer to this crisis is that we need to build more houses.”

“The issue is going to be whether the industry can deliver the houses, we think the answer to that is yes,” Mr. Bidwell continued.
