Josh Hannay says Maroons players are friends on and off the field

Queensland Maroons assistant coach Josh Hannay joined Peter Psaltis on 4BC Wide World of Sports to talk preparations for State of Origin Game II.

Mr Hannay told Peter Psaltis, “off the field the boys have come together even more, they’re a close-knit group as it is… they like to spend a lot of time together away from the training field, which we think is imperative for bringing the boys together”.

“We know we can be a lot better [than Game I] and we don’t want to just rely on, I guess, that famous Queensland spirit. I think we want to play the style of football that we know we’re capable of and we want to do it from the 1st minute to the 80th minute,” Mr Hannay said.
