Police have attended Gold Coast University Hospital for a disturbance involving a man infected with coronavirus.

Broadbeach man Duran Raman, who was admitted last week after testing positive to COVID-19, was linked to the instance.

He was put on oxygen late last week after spending around 10 days in the community while infectious.

Nine News reporter Mia Glover told Sofie Formica police are waiting to formally interview Mr Raman before they consider laying any charges.
