A man has died after being pulled from the surf at Main Beach on the Gold Coast.

The incident happened off Seaworld Drive in Main Beach at around 3.15pm this afternoon.

Another man was also pulled from the water and is believed to be in a stable condition.

Both were taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
