A man will face court today, charged with the murder of a women at her home, north of Brisbane. 

Police arrived to what’s been described as a “confronting” scene at a home on Winters Road in Kallangur yesterday afternoon.

Officers were initially called to the scene on reports of a disturbance but found the 56-year-old resident dead.

A 36-year-old relative, who was not living at the house, was arrested at the scene and has since been charged with her murder.

He will face Pine Rivers Magistrates Court this morning.
