A Wooloowin man has been charged with attempted murder after a woman was allegedly shot inside a Zillmere home on Sunday night.

Officers were called to Handford Road just after 11pm, where they located the injured 23-year-old woman.

She was transported to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital for treatment.

Around 8.30pm Monday, a 22-year-old Wooloowin man was taken into custody.

He was denied bail and is due to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court today.
