A group of American actors shooting a TV miniseries on North Stradbroke Island have criticised the lack of dining options on the famous holiday destination.

Straddie chamber of commerce president Colin Battersby says apparently the group, who was filming The Wilds, were after some other options.

“To be serious about it, the dining options at Straddie have always been fairly limited, and perhaps part of the allure of Straddie in the first place, pretty low key and pretty basic,” he told Scott Emerson.

“But as you say, pub food is the go isn’t it?”

Scott Emerson said he’s fired up about it…
