The government has announced health insurance premiums will increase on by around 3.95%.

Ross Greenwood has revealed some Australians are experiencing premium increases upwards of 5%.

Listeners are unhappy with their insurers failing to communicate their policy, with Marty calling in to tell Ross he’d been paying for pregnancy insurance for 15 years.

Marty is a man.

Health Minister Greg Hunt tells Ross Greenwood the government is moving to simplify the insurance process.

“What people want is knowledge, simplicity and no surprises.

“Everybody will get a one pager showing what’s in and what’s out.

“We’ve made a good start but now it’s about the simplicity so everyone can chose exactly what they want and know exactly what they’re getting.”
