Liberal Party vows to create 1.3 million new jobs if re-elected
The Prime Minister is pouncing on an early campaign gaffe by his rival as the Labor Leader kicks into damage control.
Anthony Albanese was yesterday unable to name the official interest rate or the national unemployment rate.
The Liberal Party has today promised to create 1.3 million jobs in the next five years if they retain power at the next election.
Employment Minister Stuart Robert told Spencer Howson Australia has already gained more than 300,000 jobs on pre-pandemic numbers.
“We’ve got a strong track record, a very strong plan and we’re going to make that commitment to the Australian people,” he said.
“The National Skills Commission … lays out where they’ll come from.
“About a quarter will come from the care industry … and of course, we’ll continue to grow our services industry, including education.”
