‘Lesson learned’: Premier apologises for NRL exemptions during quarantine freeze
Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has apologised for allowing the families of NRL players and officials to enter Queensland during the state’s hotel quarantine freeze.
The entourage arrived on Monday afternoon amid reports of Queensland residents who were left stranded in interstate hotspots.
Ms Palaszczuk admitted this morning it was a mistake following an announcement 680 hotel quarantine rooms will be reopened from Monday.
“Good!” Ray Hadley said in response. “A lesson well learned…”
