Jury finds bogus psychologist guilty of faking credentials
A Russian refugee who used fake qualifications to pose as a psychologist in Queensland hospitals has been found guilty of fraud.
Vincent Victor Berg has been convicted by a Southport District Court jury after a two-week trial.
The court heard Berg convinced administrators at Gold Coast Health in 1999 he could act as an observer within hospitals.
He later worked at four north Queensland sites using bogus credentials from Russia to avoid suspicion.
Concerns were raised during Queensland Public Hospitals Commission of Inquiry in 2005.
Berg has been remanded in custody with a sentencing date still to be set.
