Journalist calls out racism at Australian cricket venues

A cricket journalist says racism is still alive and kicking at Australian sporting venues.
Bharat Sundaresan is currently working his fifth summer in the country but says he’s still unfairly questioned about his credentials.
“Every time I was in a situation where someone said something or did something, I always went with humour,” he told Luke Bradnam on 4BC Summer Breakfast.
“But in the last year, I’ve just realised I’m doing a disservice to people of colour by kind of brushing it off.”
Sundaresan said at the Gabba, he was singled out two years in a row while watching the nets.
“The fact is, if Australia thinks [racism has] gone away, then that’s where it is mistaken. People like me face it every day.”
