Jo Casamento says Aussies unlikely to win big at Oscars

With Oscar week coming up, Jo Casamento gives Chris Smith the latest from the entertainment scene.

“There’s just so many good ones, I just can’t wait for Monday,” she says.

Australian favourite Margot Robbie is nominated for Best Actress for her role in I, Tonya, but Jo tells Chris there’s too much competition for her to take it home.

“She got too much from The Shape of Water, that’s going to be the big winner I think.”

“I don’t think the Aussies are going to bring it home trumps this year.”

She also shares with Chris what Cher, who is in Australia for the 2018 Margi Gras parade, has been up to.

“She’s been out and about, she’s been to some restaurants in Bondi.

“When she sings Turn Back Time, I just can’t image how nuts this crowd’s going to go on Saturday night.”
