An academic, satirist and former speechwriter for Paul Keating, Don Watson has released a collection of his writings from the past 15 years.

There It Is Again covers everything from politics, international relations, entertainment, sport and even a sprinkling of god.

Watson joins Deborah Knight to discuss his new book and the year that’s past.

“It’s the year of Donald Trump.

“He’s changed everything. He confounded the media to get elected, and he’s confounded every one since.

“I think there’s a chance he’ll be an eight-year president.”
