‘It’s fantastic’: Lord Mayor declares DST ‘inevitable’ for Queensland

Brisbane’s Lord Mayor has turned up the heat on the daylight saving debate, backing calls to bring Queensland up to speed.
Adrian Schrinner told The Sunday Mail declaring a winding back of the clocks would pass should the issue go to a referendum.
“Sooner or later, it will happen,” he told Sofie Formica.
Lord Mayor Schrinner pointed out 60 per cent south-east Queenslanders were for daylight saving at the last referendum.
“More and more people, particularly those who have moved interstate, … think it’s fantastic.
“If people got the opportunity to have a say, I think it’s inevitable it will get up.”
