‘It’s back on!’: Full steam ahead for Gympie Show as vaccine rules scrapped

Event organisers are breathing a sigh of relief ahead of a COVID-19 vaccine mandate being scrapped next week.
The Gympie Show was one of six events that had been cancelled due to red tape brought on by the mandate.
Show Society Vice President Warren Smith told Neil Breen the show is now back on.
“We’ve got 36 days to put on the second-biggest show in Queensland!” he said.
“We kick off on Thursday, May 12 for three big days.
“We’ve got everything: some of the best showjumpers in Australia will be there, a great, big sideshow alley, … a trade display full of local trades, … the pavilion will be full of all sorts of stuff and we’ve got the cattle as well!”
