Is it time for QLD to join NSW and adopt daylight saving?

Article image for Is it time for QLD to join NSW and adopt daylight saving?

It’s the age old debate…should Queensland join the rest of the East Coast and adopt daylight saving?

Despite a recent survey showing more than HALF the population wants it, both the Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk and Opposition Leader Deb Frecklington, have vowed NOT to introduce it, or even hold a referendum on it.

But business and industry groups aren’t givingĀ  up on it – they say bringing in daylight saving will actually help the economy and boost local industry.

Head of Australian Industry Group, QLD, Shane Rodgers, says it’s a necessary move.

So, what do you think? Is it time Queensland moved its clocks forward an hour over Summer?
