Incredible: Quad bike caught in powerlines shows flood fury

There are around 33,600 people without power across south-east Queensland.
Energex’s Danny Donald says crews are on standby and they were frustrated, waiting for water to recede.
He told Scott Emerson about one image, which captured a farmer’s quad bike stuck in powerlines in Gympie.
“That’s how bad it was there.”
2/3 Receding water is only the 1st step for restoration: it will take many days for hard-to-access locations & in areas where the network has been badly damaged. #qldfloods 📸Quad bike in powerlines, Gympie; piller, Clayfield; Milton substation. pic.twitter.com/8mmUKXF2Mk
