The two senior officers accused of making lewd comments at police leadership conferences have been named.

The Courier Mail reports Deputy Commissioner Paul Taylor and Chief Superintendent Ray Rohweder are the officers in question.

The alleged incidents were revealed yesterday as Commissioner Katarina Carroll took the stand to deny a culture of sexism and racism in the force.

Both were used as examples of bad police culture at the Commission of Inquiry into Queensland Police Service Responses to Domestic and Family Violence.

“I’ve interviewed both of these officers over the years,” Jess Millward said. “It’s so disappointing, it’s language that shouldn’t be used.

“A deputy commissioner and a chief superintendent are among the highest ranks in the service, they are using this language, it really is not good enough.”

4BC has contacted the Queensland Police Service for comment but they have not confirmed the identities of the officers involved.
