A United States’ Government education campaign telling Americans how to survive a mass shooter event has recently picked up steam on social media, with people from outside the country shocked by its content.

The rediscovery comes after a spate of mass shootings across the US. As of May 7, there have been a whopping 202 mass shootings in the country

The four-and-a-half minute video, first uploaded two years ago, depicts a friendly bar scene that soon turns sinister, with argument and gunfire ringing out.

The video then explains how viewers can “RUN. HIDE. FIGHT.” in an active shooter situation, linking directly to the FBI.gov website.

Nights contributor Misha Zelinsky told John Stanley that while America is selling the “RUN. HIDE. FIGHT.” message, Australia has a much more understandable “SLIP SLOP SLAP” mantra.
