The meeting between Donald Trump and Anthony Albanese has been hailed as a major success, despite a moment of embarrassment involving Australia’s ambassador to the United States, Kevin Rudd.

Albanese and Trump signed a landmark critical minerals deals during the meeting at the White House, however the President had some words for Australia’s ambassador to the United States Kevin Rudd.

Nine Chief Political Reporter Charles Croucher joined Luke Bradnam on 4BC Breakfast live from Washington to discuss the aftermath from Anthony Albanese’s first official face-to-face meeting with Donald Trump.

“It was uncomfortable, pretty awkward. I was just over the ambassador’s shoulder when this was all playing out, ” Croucher said on 4BC Breakfast.
