Sofie Formica spoke to Joe Hart, an organisational psychologist, about how to deal with intense emotions.

He said that everyone has different feelings of discomfort, and emphasised how important it is to pay attention to these changes.

“It’s often something that happens within our body physically. It’s about noticing what that is within you,” he said.

Joe Hart also said that we must ensure that our first step is always being kind to ourselves.

“What you say to yourself really determines what you do next. So really be aware of that, and make sure what you say to yourself is positive,” he said.
