How to make your new year’s resolution count

Article image for How to make your new year’s resolution count

The new year is just around the corner and so are the resolutions we’re ready to make but reluctant to keep.

65% of Australians will make a new year’s resolution but only 11% will follow through.

Acting CEO of the Fred Hollows Foundation, Nick Martin, tells Warren Moore Australians should consider committing to a charity in 2018.

Mr Martin says 36 million people are blind worldwide and 80% of them don’t have to be.

“Their blindness is treatable and preventable. The Fred Hollows Foundation has restored sight to well over 2 million people.”

Mr Martin says treating someone’s blindness can cost as little as $25.

“It’s an amazing contribution you can make to changing someone’s life. You realise how far generous donations from Australians actually go.”
