How struggling business owners can find their ‘safety net’ after the floods

Business owners who are struggling in the wake of the floods are being urged to reach out for more support.

Queensland’s Small Business Commissioner is offering a “safety net” so operators don’t go it alone.

Maree Adshead told Neil Breen anyone needing help should go to the Business Queensland website.

“The number one message is don’t do it alone,” she said.

“There is a support net there, some people find it hard to find, but once you’re in that support net, there’s plenty available that we want to make sure people are connecting with.

“There’s support all over the place and it’s fantastic but the problem is finding it and making sure you’re getting all the stuff you’re eligible for, because every little bit helps.”
