How State of Origin came out of a bet, and Lang Park’s spooky history

It was a special moment in time on Wednesday when Queensland beat NSW in the State of Origin decider at Suncorp Stadium.
But many Brisbanites might not know the spooky history of the stadium, once referred to as Lang Park.
The stadium was once the site of the old Paddington cemetery which ran through to 1875.
Brian Ogden from the Museum of Brisbane shared the story of how State of Origin came out of a bet between a journalist and a senator.
