How Los Angeles plans to woo Aussie travellers into stateside holidays

Los Angeles is hoping more Australians will be adding the city to their bucket lists, tipping $2.2 million into a new tourism campaign.
Sofie Formica, who’s spent plenty of times in the City of Angels, gave the floor to LA Tourism president Adam Burke to give his best pitch of ‘LA 2.0’.
“It is easier to get to LA than it’s ever been,” he said. “We now have 44 non-stop [flights] a week and by the end of the year, that’s going to grow to roughly 70 non-stops a week.
“There is more to do than ever before, so we’re actually talking about it as LA 2.0 because there’s so much new to discover.”
But Mr Burke admitted there’s one thing LA just can’t beat Australia for.
“I think it’s fair to say Australia has the world’s best coffee. What I will say is there are incredible places to get coffee all over Los Angeles.
