A person has died in a Maryborough house fire this morning. 

Emergency services were called to the scene just before at 8am this morning after reports the Garden Street home was on fire.

A body, which is yet to be formally identified, was recovered from inside the house and pronounced dead.

A crime scene has been established while investigators determine the cause of the fire.
