It a special month for our Wide World of Sports host Peter Psaltis, who’s celebrating 25 years in radio! 

Psalty started in 1997 as a panel operator for the Continuous Call Team before moving up to panel for Peter Dick and Greg Cary.

He then spent time as John Law’s Brisbane producer and later found his feet calling the footy with Rod Tiley and Trevor Gillmeister in 2002.

The following year, Psalty worked with John McCoy, Wally Lewis and Brett Kenny.

By the mid-2000s, he was producing Sports Today and co-hosting the show with the late and great Billy J Smith.

Psalty took a short stint away from 4BC before making is return as the beloved host of Wide World of Sports.

We now know Psalty as the voice of sport for 4BC and perhaps the best rugby league caller in Queensland (though, we may be a little biased).
