Andrew Symonds’ former coach John Buchanan has remembered the former star as an ‘entertainer’ and giving person.

Symonds died at 46 years of age when his car flipped on a remote country road near Townsville on Saturday night.

Neil Breen noted while he was able to draw crowds for his larrikin nature, he was always able to follow it up with an incredible game.

“In the end though, he was kind of a victim of his own success,” Buchanan told Neil.

“Everybody wanted a piece of him and he was that sort of a person that he’d try to give to everybody.”
